Sturgis 2006- Here's a couple of pictures from our Sturgis trip; downtown Keystone, Mt. Rushmore, and Sturgis. We can now say we've done Sturgis. It was a great time. The rides out there in the Black Hilles are incredible. The weather was good too.

It was a long ride out and back we had some "delicious" stops along the way. Homemade cinnamon rolls from Greta and dinner from Mary and Bill. Thanks, you guys! You know us, we hate to miss a meal.

We had an interesting experience in Keystone. The picture is a little blurry but it shows two snipers on top of a roof. It started out that we saw 3 ATF agents enter the bar we happened to be sitting right outside of. They came out a few minutes later and then a U.S. Marshall entered the bar. It was feared that the "Outlaws" were going to be coming into Keystone and the "Sons of Silence" were already in Keystone, supposedly inside the bar we were sitting outside of. It was a preventative measure and nothing happened but this was all sparked by a rival gang shooting incident at Custer State Park a couple of days before this. It was an eerie incident but good to know that nothing happened.

We were glad we rented a house in Spearfish verses camping out there. The campgrounds we saw were less than inviting. Out in the middle of nowhere without trees and the daytime temperature was in the 100's. Besides, from what we hear, it's the campgrounds that really get wild.

Take Care.
Joyce
